First Annual Treefort Music Fest Establishes Roots in Boise

The inaugural Treefort Music Fest will take place in downtown Boise March 22 – 25. More than 120 national, regional and local bands will perform at eight venues with one act, the John Steele Singers, making the trip from Brisbane, Australia. Other recognizable names include Built to Spill, of Montreal, WHY?, The Cave Singers, Typhoon, Blitzen Trapper, AraabMUZIK, Delicate Steve and EMA.

Treefort Music Fest brings yet another cultural, art-focused musical event to Idaho, adding to an already extensive list and giving visitors another reason to visit the Treasure Valley, said Karen Ballard, administrator of the Idaho Division of Tourism. Boises music scene has tremendous energy with a variety of restaurants and clubs showcasing a variety of local, regional and national artists.
General admission wristbands cost $ 79, and can be purchased on the festival’s website, http://www.treefortmusicfest.com. Shows will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds from the festival will benefit Radio Boise, a non-commercial, community radio station.

Sewell’s New Hammerhead is the World’s Smallest 1080p VGA to HDMI Converter

With the ever increasing amount of video content available online and the shift to digital movie collections, many are looking for ways to view content from their PC to their HDTV. The problem with most PC to TV solutions is the quality loss from conversion and finding somewhere to put bulky converters. The Sewell Hammerhead is the first and only in-line converter that supports 1080p resolution and audio with no transmission loss while its small size makes it ideal for reducing home theater clutter, travel, and saving space. Installation requires no drivers and takes only seconds. The user simply plugs the included VGA and 3.5mm audio cable from the PC to the Hammerhead, then runs an HDMI cable from the Hammerhead to the HDTV. It does not require any additional power for standard definition resolution but comes with a USB power cable for high definition video so the User can use the computers USB port to power the converter. Users can then enjoy all the content from their computer on their HD-ready TV in high definition.
